HTC Is Old News

A recent chart on Business Insider illustrates the rise and fall of the first phone maker to find success using Android: the forgotten HTC.

Remember the G1? It was the first Android phone. HTC was the most popular smartphone maker in October of 2011, but has since been replaced by Samsung. Similarly, Google has moved on from its dealings with HTC and the Nexus line in favor of Motorola.

Sadly, this leaves HTC out in the dust. As Business Insider points out, maybe the rumored Facebook phone can bring some new life to the brand.
