Take Your Google Search Settings On The Road
Do you appreciate Google’s individualized search results, but hate having different results when you search from other computers or browsers? It might sound like a first-world problem, but having consistent search results based on your prior history can come in handy, especially if you need to use multiple browsers or systems.
Google understands this first-world issue and has figured out a way to help users maintain their search results across the Interwebs: search preferences are now saved at the account level.
This means that, instead of having your search preferences saved onto your browser, your Google account is now associated with your search. So, whether you always want Safe Search Off (if you’re a risk taker) or you’re looking for consistent location-based results, your results will remain consistent as long as you’re signed into your Google account.
Check out all the ways you can filter your search settings by clicking here. With this update, your saved search settings can follow you from computer to computer. This feature is now available for most users; you should see a brief notice at the bottom of your search settings page when you’re logged in.
