$50K Charity Giveaway: The Winner!

It started as a simple idea we had to celebrate our 11th year in business: Lucid Agency will gift one local charity $50,000 worth of digital marketing services. But it quickly became more than a simple process of collecting applications and choosing a winner. The community rallied behind their favorite organizations, casting hundreds of votes and making passionate pleas for additional support. Then our judges panel reviewed the finalists and, impressed by the merit and creativity of the applicants, needed hours to deliberate and choose the winner (drum roll, please): Ability360! The judges panel consisted of five community leaders: Jerry Diaz, Director of Development and Marketing at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix; Matthew Fehling, President and CEO for BBB Serving Greater Arizona; Susan Frank, recently retired CEO of Desert Schools Federal Credit Union; Jacki Grainger, Vice President of Community Relations at Bank of Arizona; and Chris Sietsema, owner of Teach to Fish Digital, a digital marketing consultancy. Their combined expertise in diverse areas of business, nonprofit work, and digital marketing were instrumental in selecting the winner and we appreciate all the time and effort the judges dedicated to our giveaway program.

It has been an exciting process and we hope it has served to highlight a sample of the great organizations in the Phoenix area that are doing positive work in our community every single day. We would like to thank all the organizations who applied, the judges, and the Lucid Agency team for making this program a success. And stay tuned for updates on our project with Ability360!

The 50K Charity Giveaway progressed from an application period to a public voting period, featuring each organization applicant on Facebook. The five (5) charities with the most votes continued to the final round of deliberations, when a panel of independent judges chose the winner from the finalist group. The winner of the $50K Charity Giveaway will collaborate with Lucid Agency to develop a strategy to use the $50K to achieve maximum benefit. Available services include (but are not limited to): digital strategy and consulting, business analysis, digital marketing, design, research, branding, web design and app design.

Christine Zylla Lovstrom is the Communication Director at Lucid Agency, with a focus on internal communication and public relations. Christine is a proud ASU alumnus with B.S. in Marketing from W.P. Carey School of Business and a minor in Art History from the Herberger Institute of Design and the Arts. She enjoys combining the varied natures and influences of her education in her work and loves to debate word choice on the merits of connotation VS denotation, if anyone wants to take her up on it.
