We are looking for a full time frontend web developer to join our team as soon as possible.Are you a rock star web developer with some personality and a zest for pixel perfect, and just generally awesome, code? In other words, if you love HTML5, CSS3, PHP, JavaScript and you know the inside guts of WordPress… maybe you even have a healthy hatred for IE 7 (and below)…well, old sport, then this could be the perfect job for you!

We’re looking for a great new agency member who will enjoy working with a team to develop concepts and execute beautiful, simple, fluid and innovative solutions to our clients website problems. Your role will include a really wide variety of projects and no two days will be the same. Things you will work on during a given day could be:

  • Working closely with clients, project managers and developers to create awesome web experiences.
  • Building custom web features and user experiences that compliment our client’s marketing strategy.
  • Assisting with project requirement scoping, QA testing and product launches.
  • Helping to build and streamline our development processes.

 

The ideal candidate already lives in Arizona and will be available to start within a month at our office in downtown Tempe.

 

The skill set required to be successful in this position includes the following:
  • 2-4 year’s experience creating custom web solutions using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience working with a CMS, preferably WordPress.
  • Experience working with a development build tool such as Gulp, Grunt, or Webpack.
  • Experience with version control (Git, Subversion, etc).
  • Comfortable working with Adobe Creative Suite or Sketch.
  • Can provide examples of your work, preferably in a production or live environment.
  • Process driven, detail oriented and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to clients and ask questions in a language they can understand.
  • Don’t mind pitching in to help with other dev related tasks (browser testing, content updates, website maintenance).
Some things that might give you some kudos and/or “bonus points”:
  • Experience working with a CSS pre-processor like SASS/LESS or post-processor like PostCSS.
  • Experience coding in PHP, preferably in relation to WordPress’ custom functions (You know your way around the WordPress Codex).
  • Experience working with Advanced Custom Fields or a similar tool.
  • Understanding of atomic design, modular development or the BEM Methodology also a plus!

  • A degree or equivalent experience in web programming/development/computer science and or computer engineering

  • Excellent patience and ability to communicate technology to non-technology focused individuals
  • Goal oriented & can work hard to hit deadlines
  • Attention to detail is absolutely critical
  • Critical thinking and problem solving are necessary
  • Highly experienced with all Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • A very strong work ethic and ability to adapt to a frequently changing workload including the varied projects and fast-paced situations associated with an interactive marketing and technology agency

 

 

Compensation:
Compensation will be salary based on your experience level. Benefits package includes fully paid healthcare, paid time off, flexible work schedule and other financial and non-financial work-life benefits.
